We are located in Burnaby, BC. Our vans are located at 7880 Express Street for pick up and drop off. This address is accessible by SkyTrain. If alternate arrangements are required let us know at time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate, additional charges may be applied
Pick up is earliest at 9:00am on the starting day of your rental and due back by 5:00pm on the last day of your rental. Our charges are per day of rental, not night. Please check with us at the time of your booking if you need to adjust pick up and drop off times, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Late drop- offs will result in an additional full day rental charged for dropping off more than 2 hours past arranged time.
Your van must be returned in the condition in which it was picked up. While we understand it may not be as clean, we expect vans to be returned tidy and without damage. Excessively dirty van will incur an additional $150 cleaning fee. Missing items will be charged at their replacement value.

Our vans are serviced routinely and up to date on all their mechanics.
In the unlikely event you have a mechanical issue, we request that you immediately contact us so that we can assist with problem solving. Our insurance packages come with Roadside Assistance but in all cases, text COASTAL VAN RENTALS INC. first and we can point you in the right direction.
You will not be held responsible for any mechanical failures that occur as a result of normal driving. If you have to abandon ship for repairs, we will do our best to get you back on the road as soon as possible, however we will only reimburse you for any night you are not able to physically sleep in the van.COASTAL VAN RENTALS INC. is also not responsible for any costs associated with other reservations such as hotels, flights, and ferries.

No. We request that you stay on paved roads or well-graded and well-cleared forest service roads. We cannot be responsible for towing or damage if you do take these vans off road. Your van has 24-hour roadside assistance to help in these situations, but the cost will be yours to bear. As an example- if you are stuck on a forest service road (where roadside assistance does not cover you) towing could be up to $1500.

For rentals longer than 10 nights, we offer a 10% discount.

Yes. A 50% of total rental deposit is taken to hold your reservation at time of booking. We accept: Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.

The remainder of your trip balance is charged 14 days prior to your trip.

A $1000 security deposit is required against damage, unreasonable use, lost items, or excessive cleaning requirements. The Security Deposit will be returned less any charges if applicable, in the same format it was received. We will return the security deposit within 7 days after vehicle rental is returned. This charge is automatically made to your credit card used for reservations 2 days prior to pick up. Any damages that occur to your van or COASTAL VAN RENTALS INC. property will be deducted from your security deposit.

All camper rentals require a 30 days cancellation notice for full refund. 14 days prior to departure is a 50% refund. Anything less than 14 days prior, there is no refund.
If you must cancel a reservation within 30 days, we can offer you a credit to be used within one year.
COASTAL VAN RENTALS INC. reserves the right to cancel a reservation at any time (including at pick-up) due to natural disasters, changes in business conditions, unforeseen natural occurrences, or other situations that would make renting a van unsafe. This includes but is not limited to van renter intoxicated a time of van pick up or otherwise a condition unsafe to drive. In the event that COASTAL VAN RENTALS INC. has initiated cancellation, a full refund will be issued.
While we will do our best to place you in the exact van that you have reserved, the nature of renting vehicles results occasionally in us needing to make last minute repairs, for example if a vehicle requires urgent servicing. We will do our best to accommodate you so that your trip is as unaffected as possible.

You need to be at least 25 years old and have a valid class 5 driver's license or international equivalent to rent our vehicles. Primary driver will be listed at time of registration and their driver's license number provided at the time of booking.

In order to keep our vans hypoallergenic for all renters, no pets are allowed.

No smoking in the vans. At the discretion of COASTAL VAN RENTALS INC. a $150 cleaning fee will be added if the van is returned smelling as though it has been smoked in. This includes cigarettes, vapes, marijuana.

You will receive your van thoroughly cleaned in pristine condition for your rental. Clean linens, vacuuming, general wipe with sanitizing agents and disinfectants.
All linens are washed using a high-temp cleaning cycle using environmentally friendly hypoallergenic detergents and bleach.

Our vans are either diesel or gasoline regular unleaded 87.
Inform yourself on the van needs prior to fueling up to ensure you use the correct fuel. Charges over $300 can be incurred if incorrect fuel is used causing vehicle damage.

This vehicle is over-height. Keep this in mind when booking BC ferries as this affects your reservations. Do not park in underground parkades.
